Anyone know if anything is going on with them yet? I noticed it's been almost a full year since Eiffel 65 got back together, and maybe I just suck at using search engines. Any singles or anything worthy of notice yet?

**************************************************

On A Stage All Across The World

As you probably already have read, Maury and Jeffrey decided to leave BlissCorporation and to carry on their career outside the studios of which they have worked at for 14 years. The duo will start a whole new adventure with a new concept and a new name. It's the beginning of something new, built on the ending of something old. With the leaving of Maury and Jeffrey, Eiffel 65 also lost its heart and soul. No matter how the brand name will be used
in the future, without the two it won't be the same anymore.

To follow their decision, Eiffel 65 Rockz will go offline by the end of June. It's a necessary step to avoid that things here slowly die off, since there won't be any new updates and news pieces to post. I'd like to thank you all for your support and feedback, as it really helped me much for my motivation to work on this fansite for the past five years. It was a great time.

I keep my eyes and ears open for new projects Maury and Jeffrey will work on. It's possible that we all meet again.

But for now, it's time to say byebye

*************************************************************************

Now I will have to start another community for Maury and Jeff's new band...and I will.

So I'm creating an E65 survey.  Post to the community with your answers, I guess.

*Date you discovered them:  Some time in '99 or '00, I heard Blue on the TV's digital music channel.
*You represent:  California!  So I never have (and probably never will ) seen them live. :(
*Favorite Band Member (including Gabry): Maury.
*BlissCo Forum Name?: I've never posted, and I only just registered about a month ago. Nor have I activated it yet.  It's Sashi, or something like that.  It's not fair that 90% of the posts are in Italian. :P
*Eiffel 65 Gabry or Solo Gabry?: I'm sad that they split up, but Gabry going solo provided us with two more CDs we probably would never have had otherwise.  And you have to admit, he's good.
*Favorite Album:  Eiffel 65.  Contact is a close second favorite.
*Favorite Song: "Living In a Bubble"
*Favorite Europop song: "Living In a Bubble" followed by "Dub In Life"
*Favorite Contact song: "Life Like Thunder"
*Favorite Eiffel 65 song: "Voglia di Dance All Night", "Quelli Che Non Hanno Eta" (I know I butchered the spelling), and "Living In My City"
*Favorite video: I really like all of their videos, because they're like great buddy films.  They just look like they're having a lot of fun filming it.  My favorite is probably Viaggia Insieme a Me, because it's really sweet and it fits the song well.  Unless you're including Gabry's Sin Pararse in the contest, because then that would win for sure.
*Favorite Gabry album: Dottor Jekyll, definitely.  The self-titled was a little too trancey for me.  Still good, though.
*Favorite Gabry song:  "Sin Pararse", "Rocksteady Beat"....and lately I'm really fond of "Butterfly".  It's creepy.
*Who's the hottest?:  Maury, followed VERY closely by Gabry.
*Who's the funniest?:  They all kinda play off each other.  I would say that Jeff seems to be the main clown, though.
*Natale a Casa Deejay?:  Will never come out in the US. :(  Someday I'll find it, though.  Maybe someday all of us will end up in a huge ebay fight over it. lol.
*Name one or two other bands the rest of us Eiffel fans should check out: Dax Riders.  They have a sound a lot like Daft Punk and Eiffel 65.  I think they're pretty hard to find, though.

Feel free to add on if you can think of anything else!

Oh, one more thing.  I think I've asked before, but does anybody have "Love Is Forever"?  I really want it, and I can't find it ANYWHERE.  BlissCo used to sell it, but I tried to buy it and the link was dead.

Newbie here.

Name's Yoruame, or Baroness. Whichever you prefer to call me. Fan of E65 and Gabry Ponte (obviously . . .). Just thought I would say hello . . .:)

I'm really curious as to what their new group name is going to be, aren't you? I think they should buy the rights of the name from BlissCo personally, but there might be some laws preventing them from doing that.

All righty, I'm off . . .

I guess I've become one of those obsessive too-much-time-on-your-hands fans, because yesterday at work, I noticed something.  The choruses to "Now Is Forever" on Europop and "Cosa Restera" on Eiffel 65 sound IDENTICAL.
I'll put them side by side.  Now is Forever is in bold, Cosa Restera in italics.
the past is all that’s gone,
Acqua azzurra
the future is yet to come.
o alba chiara
this moment is all our own.
Nel blu dipinto di blu
we should live this way,
Cosa resterà

Seriously, listen to the songs and you can sing the lyrics from one in the other.  It's not identical note for note, but am I the only crazy person to hear it?

Okay, now I'm going to write my essay.

OOOOO-KAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY, just when I think I have everything all figured out, it all goes topsy-turvey again. I guess that business shoots all my crazy BlissCo theories straight to hell.

But hey, look at it this way...some of the most popular bands in history have gone through member changes and name changes and all...it's practically a rite of passage! It's almost like you're not a "real, established" band until you do. People start to remember you.......

Don't put too much stock in what I say...like I said I'm just speculating.

OK, now I'm REALLY confused!

Quote M. Gabutti:

Hello everybody
Since this might be a hard news for many of you, is my duty and responsibility to give this info personally. ( Let’s leave easy news to P.R.s )

After a long collaboration with BlissCo, Maurizio and Gianfranco have decided to carry on their career outside the company, to better develop their new artistic and business path.

Therefore they will form a new duo together and the new album will be released shortly by Universal Italy.

For whom that might be surprised by their choice I feel the need to defend them : I think that after 14 years of close work relation with one company, anyone has the right to explore new roads , achieve new goals and collaborations.

All Blissco people and I sincerely wish them a lot of luck and many years of success for their new initiative.

I guess that Maurizio and Gianfranco will for sure provide a website and a forum for their fans to follow their work and career, and provide all the information that we do not have.

The Forum section of Eiffel65 will keep on being open on the BlissCo Forum.

Gabry , Roby and other BlissCo people might work again under the brand name Eiffel65 with new production as _soon as the Karmah songs will be completed.

For whom who’s sad….
… the end of something is just something else beginning….sometimes better that the previous one

Thank to all of you for being with us.

Subject:Eiffel 65--What REALLY happened??? Part Deux
Security:Public
Mood: cynical

I'm back with more rantings and speculations.....

The lyrics of "On a Stage All across the World" seem to suggest that E65 are getting rather tired of fame and the hassle of touring and stuff like that...if that really IS the case, and they needed to , and I quote, "recharge their batteries", then wy didn't they just announce they were taking a hiatus for a while? Why just do it in the middle of an album? bizarre.

It is possible that Gabry got the size 12 long before we found out about it...I mean the announcement about the new album that came out before we knew of Gabry getting ousted said that Maury would be doing some back-up vocals...that never happened before. Is it possible it was because they were trying all this new "experimental" stuff b/c they KNEW Gabry would be out and gone?

...But the fact that the album release has been delayed a whole bunch of times already suggests that Gabry was booted in the middle of the album. I mean think about it...they probably delayed the album a bunch of times because Gabry left in the middle of the album and they had no clue what to do and they were scrambling to figure it out.

Whenever he left, though, I DON'T think Gabry left voluntarily, NOR do I think Jeff and Maury canned him of THEIR own accord. The announcement on eiffel65rockz.com said, and I quote again, "In spite of puzzlement, Gabry has agreed..." Sound to me like he really didn't want to leave. And another thing, going back to the album delay thing, I can see a CD getting delayed ONCE, but 3 or 4 times??? C'mon, that's f%&*ing ridiculous! It's like WTF???!! Like I just said before, Maury and Jeff didn't know what to do without Gabry, so they kept delaying the album to buy time till they could figure something out. (I have a feeling they STILL don't know WTF to do!)

I think some honcho at BlissCo fired Gabry for some reason. Don't ask me who it was or why they did it because your guess is as good as mine on THAT one! Or if Maury and Jeff DID get rid of Gabry "of their own accord", I think somebody else (presumably the aforementioned "honcho") who didn't want to do the dirty work put them up to it.

Then our "honcho" makes Gabry and the rest of E65 make those "statements" about trying out new musical styles and about how "this is not a trial or a war". Well what did we EXPECT them to say??? It would look pretty bad on BOTH of them if they bad-mouthed people and aired their dirty laundry in public, now wouldn't it??

I'm not saying that any of this is really what definitely happened, but it IS something to think about...it seems this way to me.

How about YOU? What do YOU think?

This thing was announced on www.eiffel65rockz.com back in DECEMBER....

*********************************************************************************************************

Eiffel 65 has announced on their official website, that they have chosen the songs which will be on the fourth album. To be more exact, there will be 13 tracks, 3 in Italian for the Italian release, and the others in English. One of the tracks is called "In The City" and is nothing else than "Living In My City" from the "Eiffel 65 - Eiffel 65 (Special Edition)" album but with vocals. By the end of the second week of December the audio master will be ready, that means nothing less than album FINISHED! Right after that they will move on to the art work and distribution faze and everything regarding covers, photos, video, picking the singles, plannings of international releases, and their internet site. So prepare yourself again, the Eiffel 65 story will continue early next year

*********************************************************************************************************

This is the absolute LAST I heard anything about the new album. It was SUPPOSED to be released in in Spring/Summer 2006. But we've heard absolutely NOTHING about it...I mean when an artist releases an album, it's usually with at least a little fanfare and hype. Eiffel 65 usually releases singles like MONTHS before a new album comes out. It's EXTREMELY un-E65-like for that not to happen.... and why is that website still down for this long??? I don't know, it all just seems so odd....do the math, it just doesn't seem to add up.

That stuff about "the natural evolution of 2 careers in separate directions" or whatever the hell...yeah right! my ass! bullshit! That is AT BEST not the whole story! Worst case scenario it's TOTAL bullshit! Face it people, we just don't know the real story, and we probably never will. Our imaginations can do the best they can to reconstruct what happened but that's all it would be--a stretch of the imagination.

All we can do is wait right now...they can't hide forever.

So I know we already discussed the myspace, which may or may not be fake, but it's been updated with a new song called "Elephants In Amsterdam".  I've never heard it before, so I'm wondering if it's from the new album?

Also, Living In My City is on there, so those of you who weren't lucky enough to find the latest CD can finally hear it.  I'm still dying to hear the version with LYRICS.

edit:  "Ciao ciao friends-

So lately, many error message of our official website (eiffel65.it or eiffel65.com) because of it having problems. It's been so crazy because a problem with the server is preventing the content from being visable from anyone trying to access it. Basically, that means the server is damaged and it will be fixed soon and a new website is in construction presently for the new album anyway. Eiffel 65 is still a band!! No break up!! We also posted an unreleased song on a MySpace Player from the Contact recording session. Check it out!!"

Just found that in the blog section.  It doesn't sound like them to me, but whatever.  Maybe it's an explanation.  And now we know where Elephants In Amsterdam is from.

So am I crazy, or do you guys recall E65 saying that the new album would probably be released THIS SPRING?  Hello, it's almost summer!  And there's not even a word about it!

I guess it's pretty normal for album release dates to get postponed, but still, I'm looking forward to it so much!
